Dragon Statues in the Eastern Culture
In Eastern culture dragons are creatures that are worshiped and adored. In the Chinese culture the Chinese proudly proclaim themselves as descendants of the dragon. The Chinese dragon is a divine mythical creature that promotes abundance and good fortune.
In Western culture dragon symbols such as statues denote negative energy however in Eastern culture dragons are positive, loved and worshiped creatures. Temples are built to honor the dragon as they are believed to control the sea, lakes and rain. In many Chinese cities there are pagodas where citizens go and burn incense to honor the dragon.
The Chinese dragon is looked upon as the symbol of ultimate good fortune. When a dragon statue is placed in an entrance to a home or in a meditation garden it is believed to ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune.
