It is recommended that you drain and cover your fountain if you live in a climate that freezes during the winter. Freezing can cause in water left in the fountain to expand and will damage the fountain. This lovely fountain top is finished to a smooth texture and finished with several layers of finish and then sealed with a weather protestant sealant.
